In 1978, actor John Travolta broke the screen with his interpretation of the character Danny Zuko in the film adaptation of the musical Grease.

The moment when his character sings the piece Greased Lightning dancing on a car with her tight black pants was particularly striking… Phew! (by the way, in the musical, Kenickie‘s character sings the part, not Danny, but Travolta wanted to do it so much that he put pressure on the production to make the change in the script).
All this to say that Greased Lightning was an important element in Travolta’s career.
Even almost 50 years later, he’s still doing mileage on it.
Credit card company Capital One recently produced a commercial in which Travolta can be seen performing his hit song dressed as Santa Claus. Instead of dancing on a hot rod with his friends from the T-Birds, he dances with a gang of elves on Santa’s sleigh.
Everyone has their own choices…
At least he refrained from saying the words “pussy wagon.”
