Though the film focuses on Margot Mills and her date, Leguizamo’s character steals the spotlight. Diaz shares a tense dynamic with his secretary, Felicity, eventually meeting the same gruesome fate as the other guests—transformed into a human s’more by the deranged chef Julian Slowik. Leguizamo’s portrayal vividly encapsulates the disdain Seagal inspired.

Seagal’s recent activities have done little to mend his reputation. In May 2024, he made a public appearance at Putin’s inauguration ceremony, reaffirming his association with Russian leadership. However, the spotlight didn’t shine on him long. In January 2025, Saturday Night Live released a teaser for Dave Chappelle’s hosting gig, taking a dig at Seagal’s contentious 1991 appearance on the show.
