“I myself am a little surprised,because it went very quickly until I find myself in the eleven holder of the first team. But I worked a lot to get there,” Johan Manzambi told reporters during the team’s visit to the United States.

A pivotal moment arrived on April 12 when Johan Manzambi scored his first Bundesliga goal in the 90th minute against Borussia Mönchengladbach (2-1). “today, we can say that it was a paid choice,” Johan Manzambi said. “The Friborg sports project, where many players go through the M19 and the M21 before making their hole, was the right one for me. Everything went as the club predicted when they made me this offer. It was even faster than expected.”

“I want to prove that I have not stolen my place. And even if I do not have the possibility to play, I would remain very satisfied with the experience.”

Despite Johan Manzambi’s contributions, SC Friborg narrowly missed qualifying for the Champions league. However, the team secured a spot in the Europa League, and Johan Manzambi aims to build on his momentum next season, striving for consistent playing time amidst fierce competition.

“He is a player who inspired me. He knew my big brother who also played Servette so we exchanged a little before my selection. It is a very good person,” Johan Manzambi said of Denis Zakaria.
