Job Market Mismatch | SVT News

by Archynetys Economy Desk

Unemployment is rising among university and higher education graduates at the same time as there is a shortage of skilled workers.

There is a poor match between supply and demand on the labor market, shows Swedish Business Confederation’s large recruitment survey, which is carried out every two years.

5,000 member companies have responded that one in four recruitment attempts have failed completely. The most difficult thing is to find professionally trained personnel as sheet metal workers.

The effect is that existing staff have to work more and that employers have to change the recruitment requirements.
