Jimmy Fallon, the renowned late-night television host, recently faced his ultimate challenge: the Hot Ones challenge. Known for dishing out spicy wings while cracking jokes, Fallon’s participation in this viral trend isn’t new to his audience.

A Legacy尤 Hot Sauce Trick Back

Fallon’s love for the Hot Ones segment is nothing new. This time, though, it was even more memorable as he recalled a past incident with Selena Gomez. Unlike other guests, Gomez’s encounter with Da Bomb hot sauce took an unexpected turn in 2019. As according to Fallon, “We almost killed an American treasure, Selena Gomez.” She couldn’t handle the spice and had to rush off the set, leaving Fallon quite concerned.

Revisiting da Bomb

This isn’t the first time Fallon has discussed his ordeal with Gomez. In a 2019 Tonight Show moment, he revealed the details of that heated segment. Gomez had left the set in tears and Fallon went on to explain the aftermath: “She was throwing up in her sink and I go ‘Selena,’ and she goes, ‘Get the f— out’ with a devil voice.”

Reunited & Reunitying

Thankfully, Gomez and Fallon’s friendship did not end there. Despite the mishap, they have since mended relationships and laughed about it. The episode in September, Gomez appeared on Fallon’s show without any cringing moments. In her most recent episode, she was joined by her co-stars from Only Murders in the Building, Steve Martin and Martin Short.
