Blessed Departure of Jeremiah Wallace Honored by Community

Ardfert, Co. Kerry – The community of Ardfert gathers to remember and cherish the life of Jeremiah Wallace, who passed away peacefully at his home on February 2, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Jeremiah, a respected and beloved figure in Casements View, leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and unwavering dedication to his family and community.

A Life Well-Lived

Born into a close-knit family, Jeremiah was the son of Hannah and Thomas, and was the younger brother of Gerard, Vincent, Patrick, Michael, Tony, and Frank. Predeceased by his loving wife, Marian, their union was marked by decades of shared joys and laughter. Marian was the daughter of James and Noreen, and sister to Tom and Joe, many of whom are also now departed.

Family Legacy

Jeremiah’s enduring memory lives on through his children and grandchildren. Margaret Connolly (Ardfert), Helena Dowling (Mountcoal), Colette Wallace (Glenamaddy, Co.Galway), Jerry (Ardfert), Brian (Causeway), and Thomas (Ardfert) were his sons and daughters, carrying forward his values and kindness. They were deeply proud of their ten cherished grandchildren, Tony, Amy, Becky, Rylan, Noah, Jessie, Harley, Finley, and Caleb, who continue to honor him with their love and laughter.

Jeremiah was also dearly loved by his brother Joe (Ardfert), daughters-in-law Joelene and Rebecca, sons-in-law Anthony, Brendan, and Cyril, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends, who will sorely miss his presence in their lives.

A Final Farewell

In keeping with Jeremiah’s wishes, there will be an opportunity for friends and family to gather and pay their respects at Casey’s Funeral Home in Causeway from 6 PM to 8 PM on Wednesday, February 5, 2025. A requiem mass will be held in St. Brendan’s Church in Ardfert on Thursday at noon, streaming live via St. Brendan’s Church Ardfert for those unable to attend in person. Following the mass, Jeremiah will be laid to rest in The New Abbey Cemetery in Ardfert.

Charitable Giving

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Palliative Care Unit at University Hospital Kerry, reflecting Jeremiah’s dedication to compassionate care for others during challenging times.
