A trial date has been set for a Jefferson City man after grand jury indicted him for raping and sodomizing a 16-year-old girl.
On Thursday, a Cole County Grand Jury indicted Kevin D. Price, 49, for First Degree Rape and three counts of First Degree Sodomy.
On December 5, 2024, a woman contacted Jefferson City Police and asked for help to check on her 16-year-old daughter.
When officers got to the hotel in the 1300 block of Jefferson Street, Price had left.
They found him about 12 minutes later and took him into custody in connection with another investigation.
The 16-year-old told police that Price had bought her alcohol and had raped and sodomized her.
A jury trial was scheduled for Tuesday, September 16.
Price was being held in the Cole County Jail without bond.
