Remembering James (Jimmy) Conlon: A Life Cut Too Short
The community of Toughnane, Bohola, and formerly of Latton, County Monaghan, mourns the loss of James (Jimmy) Conlon, who passed away peacefully at Mayo University Hospital on January 12, 2025. Surrounded by his loving family, Jimmy’s life of dedication and kindness leaves an indelible mark on all who knew him.
A Tribute to a Life Well-Lived
Jimmy’s journey was filled with accomplishments and cherished moments. He was predeceased by his wife Angela, brother Michael J., and sister Alice. His life was a testament to the love he shared with his family and the bonds he formed with his friends and neighbors.
Loving Family and Enduring Legacy
Jimmy is sadly missed by his daughters, Pauline Foy of Luton and Dympna Dunleavy of Balla, and his son Gerard. He was also a proud grandfather to Jason, Shane, Kevin, Conor, Aaron, Shauna, Adam, Stephen, and Ciara. His sons-in-law, Mick and Paul, and his daughter-in-law, Barbara, along with his sisters Eileen and Anne, sister-in-laws, nephews, nieces, neighbors, and friends, will forever remember Jimmy with fondness.
Visitation and Celebrating Life
The Sheridan Memorial Community Centre will host a visitation on Saturday evening from 4:30 until 6:30 PM. Following this, there will be a removal to The Church of the Immaculate Conception and St. Joseph in Bohola.
Funeral Mass and Burial
A Funeral Mass will be held on Sunday morning at 11:00 AM. The ceremony will be followed by burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Bohola. For those who are unable to attend in person, the Funeral Mass can be viewed on this ChurchTV link.
Legacy of Giving
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to the Dialysis Unit at Mayo University Hospital. Clarke’s Funeral Directors in Bohola can provide additionaldetails and assistance.
