A lasting Tribute: Permanent Jahn Teigen Exhibition Opens in Tønsberg

The exhibition, located in the heart of Tønsberg, showcases a wide array of TEIGEN’s memorabilia, including stage costumes, instruments, personal photographs, and awards. Visitors can explore the different phases of his career, from his early days with the band POPOL VUH to his accomplished solo career and his memorable performances in the Eurovision Song Contest.
“This exhibition is a tribute to JAHN TEIGEN’s immense contribution to Norwegian music and culture,” said ANNE LISE MORTENSEN, the exhibition’s curator.”We wanted to create a space where fans can come and celebrate his life and work,and learn more about the man behind the music.”
TEIGEN, who passed away in 2020, remains one of Norway’s most beloved artists. His career spanned several decades, and he achieved both critical acclaim and commercial success. He represented Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest three times, with his 1978 performance of “Mil etter mil” becoming a national classic.
