On this occasion, he received the Knight’s Cross of Blood Merit, a distinction which rewards several years of involvement in the service of voluntary giving and solidarity, particularly in Costa Verde and the Eastern Plain.
The decoration was presented to him by Patrick Fallet, president of the Corsican Regional Committee of Volunteer Blood Donors, in the presence of Virginie Ferrera-Tourenc, director of the French Blood Establishment (EFS) Paca-Corsica.
Very moved during this ceremony, the recipient was keen to point out that this recognition goes beyond a personal approach and is part of a collective mobilization intended to keep the blood donation chain alive in Corsica.
A distinction which highlights the discreet but constant commitment of those who, like Jacques Sculpteur, work, throughout the year, to encourage a vital gesture based solely on the generosity of volunteers.
