Indiana to Face Milwaukee in devries’ Debut Season

One of Darian DeVries‘ initial games as the Indiana basketball head coach will be a home contest against Milwaukee.

According to a report by Rocco miller, Indiana, Milwaukee, Marquette, and Little Rock will participate in a Multi-Team Event, each playing two games. The Hoosiers are also scheduled to face Marquette in Chicago in early November as part of the MTE.

Milwaukee concluded last season with a 21-11 record and was ranked No. 141 by KenPom. They achieved a 14-6 record in the Horizon League, tying for second place under head coach Bart Lundy, who recently signed a contract extension and is entering his fourth season leading the program. The Panthers have achieved at least 20 wins in each of the past three seasons under Lundy.

Lundy’s Milwaukee teams are known for their fast-paced offensive style. Last season, their offense ranked among the top-5 in school history in scoring average (78.4 ppg), total points (2,510), field-goal percentage (.468), field goals made (907), and field goals attempted (1,939). The team led the NCAA in fastbreak points with 18.4 per game,embracing Lundy’s “Tilt The Floor” motto.The Panthers also set a program record in rebounds per game at 39.2, ranking No. 21 nationally and helping Milwaukee place second in the NCAA in rebound margin at +9.3.

Milwaukee lost their two most productive players from last season, Themus Fulks and Jamichael Stillwell, both of whom transferred to central Florida.

Key Players for Milwaukee in 2025-26

The Panthers led the NCAA in fastbreak points with 18.4 per game, embracing Lundy’s “Tilt The Floor” motto.

Several players are expected to play significant roles for milwaukee in the 2025-26 season, including 6-foot-7 forward Chandler Jackson (17 ppg at Parkland College), 6-foot guard Isaiah Dorceus (14.5 ppg at Daytona State), 6-foot-4 guard Seth Hubbard (8.4 ppg for Toledo), 6-foot-10 center Faizon Fields (6.7 ppg), 6-foot-8 forward Danilo Jovanovich (5.3 ppg at Milwaukee), and 6-foot-8 wing John Lovelace (4.5 ppg at Milwaukee).

In Bart Torvik’s preseason projections, Milwaukee is ranked No. 235 nationally.

In addition to Milwaukee and Marquette, Indiana will face Louisville in Indianapolis and kentucky in Lexington as part of their 11-game nonconference schedule. The remaining seven games have not yet been announced.
