Bahare Viken opens up about previous eating disorder.

I The age of 22 was Bahare editor of Norway’s then largest teenage magazine, Julia. Later, she has worked in NRK News’s young initiative as both journalist and program manager. In addition, she has also been a participant in Farmen celebrity.
In the latest episode of the NRK podcast Drivkraft, Bahare now opens up a previous eating disorder.
– It started with having ear inflammation. I reacted strongly to the medicines I received, and got so bad that I couldn’t eat in many weeks. It was a bit that triggered it. But I think there was something more behind, which at some point had come out anyway, says Bahare to the NRK podcast.

The first year of high school she was almost not at school because she was so sick of the eating disorder.
– My stepfather sick leave to be home with me. When I was eventually back to school, he came in lunch and ate with me in the car. I wouldn’t have done it without the help I got. You need help from someone, and for me it was from him, she says in the podcast.

Bahare believes the disease has also helped to shape her to who she is today.
– You learn a lot from being through something that slides up in the psychic, because you have to work so hard with yourself to be able to have a good time again. But when you do it, you feel that you can do everything, she says to driving force.
