VIENNA – Gulf Cooperation Council ambassadors have conveyed their apprehension to Rafael Grossi, chief of the U.N. nuclear watchdog, regarding the security of nuclear installations in proximity to their nations amidst the ongoing israeli-Iranian crisis. The concerns were reported by the Qatar state news agency on Saturday.

During a meeting in Vienna, the ambassadors cautioned grossi about the “dangerous repercussions” that could arise from targeting nuclear sites.

This warning follows a statement made by the Israeli military on Thursday, which initially indicated a strike on the Russian-built Bushehr facility. The military later retracted the statement, attributing it to a mistake. [[1]] [[2]] Bushehr is the sole operational nuclear power plant in Iran, situated on the Gulf coast.
