Alexander Isak sobbed. The Liverpool striker labeled the most expensive transfer was injured again, apparently his injury history is protracted!

Alexander Isak has had a tough start at Liverpool. His transfer value is already a burden, plus not many goals have flowed from him

Isak has only scored one goal in eight matches in all competitions. He scored that goal in the Carabao Cup.

Never mind about goals, the 26 year old player still has minimal playing minutes. Isak has only started three times in the Premier League, but he didn’t even play the full game.

Reporting from Daily Mail, There are at least two reasons why Alexander Isak hasn’t seen his fangs yet. The first is because Isak didn’t have enough time to adapt.

Isak was brought in by Liverpool in the final minutes of the transfer market. As a result, Isak was unable to join the pre-season session to be able to tune in with his teammates.

The second is due to a history of injuries, especially groin injuries, aka muscle injuries in the inner groin. Most recently, Isak experienced adductor pain, namely pain in the muscles in that area.

“For Isak, we have to wait and see. He definitely won’t start on Sunday, but will probably be in the squad. He still hasn’t trained with the team, so we have to wait,” explained manager Arne Slot, who confirmed that Isak will miss the match against Real Madrid in the middle of this week and is believed to be absent when facing Man City in the Premier League next weekend.

The groin injury has been haunting Alexander Isak since 2023. It is recorded that the Swedish player has been injured four times!

The history of other injuries is also quite eyebrow-raising, namely a hamstring injury. He suffered from it for the first time in 2017 and often recurred.

While at Newcastle, groin and hamstring injuries made Isak absent for 38 matches!

It seems that Liverpool have to be really careful when playing their most expensive striker. It could end up becoming a glass leg…
