The Human Rights Activists News Agency (Hrana) reports that Israeli strikes in Iran left at least 657 people dead and more than 2,000 injured. The U.S.-based organization released the data on Friday, citing press information and its own sources.
Hrana, an Iranian human rights organization founded in 2005 and currently exiled in the United States, stated that since the start of the Israeli offensive on june 13, at least 263 civilians, including over twenty children, 164 soldiers, and 230 individuals with undefined status have been killed across Iran.
The NGO added that over 2,000 people have been injured in the bombings as of friday.
On June 15, iranian authorities reported a death toll of at least 224, including military commanders, nuclear scientists, and civilians. Authorities also reported at least 25 deaths in Israel due to Iranian responses.
Israel asserts that the offensive aims to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.
