“This includes new intelligence information from a reliable and accurate source, stating that many of the main Iranian nuclear facilities were destroyed, and that it will have to be rebuilt over the years,” Ratcliffe added in a statement.
The statement continued: “The Central Intelligence Agency continues to collect additional information from reliable sources, to keep the relevant decision -makers and supervision bodies for full knowledge.”
“We will also provide, when this is possible, updates and information to the American public, given the national importance of this issue and in every attempt to provide transparency.”
American press reports had caused a stir in the United States, when it conveyed a preliminary intelligence evaluation that the basic components of the Tehran nuclear program were not destroyed, including enriched uranium stocks and centrifugal devices.
Reports have prompted senior US officials, including President Donald Trump, to respond to negation and deny important media, such as CNN and the New York Times.
