An Iranian national, identified as Fekri, was executed after being convicted of spying for Israel. The arrest occurred in December 2023 during what authorities described as a complex intelligence operation.

According to officials, Fekri had been in contact wiht two Mossad officers and was allegedly attempting to transmit classified national security facts, including details about sensitive sites and personnel, to Israeli intelligence services.

The case file indicates that FekriS cooperation with Mossad began after an initial vetting process by one officer, followed by a transfer to a second handler known as “Amir.” Instructions given to Fekri reportedly included establishing a secure communication channel and setting up a cryptocurrency wallet for financial transactions.

Iran’s judiciary confirmed that all legal proceedings were conducted in accordance with established criminal procedures, and the Supreme Court ultimately upheld the death sentence.

Charges and Conviction

Fekri was convicted on charges of “moharebeh” (waging war against God) and “corruption on earth,” both of which are capital offenses under Iranian law.

“The Intelligence Ministry said it had been monitoring Fekri’s activities through technical surveillance before detaining him.”
