The head of Polish diplomacy admitted that Warsaw and European allies had certain information before the US and Israeli attacks on Iran. However, he refuses to disclose the details.
Poland and European allies had some advance information before the United States and Israel attacked Iran. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Radoslaw Sikorski, in an interview with TVN24 on Saturday evening. This is reported by the Warsaw correspondent TASR, according to the PAP agency.
“We had some prior knowledge that I can’t talk about in detail,” Sikorski said, but he ruled out that the U.S. and its allies were coordinating their actions.
At the same time, the minister informed that a certain number of Polish citizens were stuck at airports in the Middle East region. According to him, they are currently not in immediate danger and the airlines are responsible for them, while the Polish consulates are trying to contact them.
Sikorski identified Egypt, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia as relatively safe countries, from which flights are still operating, but he considers land transfer to be the safest way. After the attacks, Iran carried out retaliatory strikes against US bases in the region.
