KABARBURSA.COM – The United States (US) and Israel launched air attacks on Iran on Saturday, February 28 2026. This conflict in the Middle East is considered to have a negative impact on the Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG).
Quoting Reuters, the attack carried out by the US and Israeli Zionists targeted Iran’s supreme leader, namely Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and President Masoud Pezeshkian.
However, through sources familiar with this matter, Reuters reported that Khamenei was not in Tehran and had been moved to a safe location.
Not long ago, Iran counterattacked US military bases in the Middle East region. Iran’s Revolutionary Guard said the first retaliatory missile and drone strikes had been launched against all US bases.
Loud explosions were heard in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, a major oil producer and close US ally. Explosions were also heard in Dubai.
Capital market observer Wahyu Laksono said the attack by the US and Israel on Iran was a serious problem compared to previous conflicts.
“This is more serious than the previous Iran-Israel conflict, involving the US, and many US allies in the Middle East are ready to fight against Iran,” he told Kabarbursa.com, Saturday, February 28 2026.
Wahyu then highlighted the impact of the attack. According to him, this conflict could have a negative impact on world stock markets, including the JCI in next week’s trading.
“If there is no resolution or de-escalation, Monday, March 2 2026, it could be serious. Wall Street, global stocks, also including the JCI,” he said.
