Apple introduced the iPhone 17e in a press release on Monday. The new smartphone replaces the 16e as the previous entry-level model.
With its cheapest iPhone model, Apple relies on inner values and corrects one of the biggest criticisms of its predecessor. The 17e comes with the current A19 chip that is in the iPhone 17 series.
From 599 francs
Perhaps the most important innovations for everyday life: Apple has given the 17e the magnetic charger connection “MagSafe” and doubled the internal SSD base storage to 256 gigabytes (GB) – all while keeping the starting price unchanged (599 francs).
The iPhone 17e is in black, white and light pink Available with a storage capacity of 256 GB or 512 GB.
Online pre-orders According to Apple’s announcement, this will be possible from tomorrow, Wednesday, March 4th. The delivery is scheduled to take place from Wednesday, March 11th.

Dank A19-Chip and the new one C1X-Modem (Apple’s own wireless chip) should make the iPhone 16e future-proof. The 6.1 inch display However, it remains at 60 Hertz (Hz), so it does not offer an adaptive refresh rate, which Apple calls “ProMotion”. In addition, the new budget iPhone only has one camera lens on the back (48 megapixels, with 2x optical zoom).
New iPad Air
In addition to the entry-level iPhone, Apple is also technically upgrading the iPad Air models. The design and display size (11 and 13 inches) remain unchanged. When it comes to processor performance, the Californians are skipping their M3 chip and directly installing the M4 chip, which was previously reserved for the much more expensive iPad Pro. The manufacturer also increased the main memory (RAM) to 12 GB.
