JAKARTA.NIAGA.ASIA – The Ministry of Industry announced the issuance of four TKDN certificates for iPhone 17 products submitted by PT Apple Indonesia, so that it can be traded in Indonesia. This certificate was issued on September 11, 2025 after the product was declared to meet the requirements stipulated in Permenperin Number 29 of 2017 concerning the Provisions and Procedures for Calculating the TKDN value.
Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita asserted, the issuance of this certificate not only emphasized Apple’s commitment to comply with national regulations, but also continued Apple’s strategic investment in Indonesia which is outside the TKDN scheme, including development Apple Developer Academy and Digital Talent Ecosystem Development Program.
“Apple’s investment continues to run in line with the issuance of TKDN certificates for iPhone 17. This proves that Indonesia remains an important partner for global companies in building innovation -based industrial value chains,” Agus told reporters in Jakarta, Thursday (11/9).
The Minister of Industry stated that TKDN reforms and global investment commitments such as Apple would be the foundation for the growth of national industries in the future.
“With TKDN reform, we want to ensure that the Indonesian industry does not only survive, but is also able to jump forward and provide concrete benefits for the nation and the people,” he concluded.
