IPhone 17 Pro: 5 Reasons to Upgrade | New Features & Benefits

by Archynetys Technology & Science Desk

It is that time of the year again; It’s time for the new iPhone. This year, Apple It has four new devices worth mentioning, with the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 pro max along with the new iPhone Air Ultradelgado.

The normal iPhone 17 has several updates that provide an experience similar to that of Pro that can compete with the Google Pixel 10 and next Galaxy S26. Meanwhile, the iPhone Air offers an incredibly thin body that measures 5.64 mm, which is 1.36 mm thinner than the Galaxy S25 Edge.

Then there is the iPhone 17 Pro, and there are some key reasons why I am excited by this year’s pro line. It is a more modest update than in some years, but the updates seem to be in all the right places. Here are five reasons why I buy the new iPhone 17 Pro.

Aluminum body and new steam chamber

The iPhone 17 pro is heavier and thick than the iPhone 16 Pro last year, since Apple has made great changes in construction, materials and internal parts of the phone.

The experiment with a titanium frame, which began two generations with a lot of poise, is over, since the iPhone 17 Pro returns to aluminum. While titanium is a stronger material, aluminum has some key benefits, which include being lighter, better heat dissipation and allowing an explosion of color.

The change to aluminum will help solve the heat problems of the previous generations, so Apple has also added a new steam camera that is designed to keep the phone much cooler. If this works as well as the company expects, this change will be worth it.

New colors, including cosmic orange

The iPhone 17 Pro is a bold step for Apple, which demonstrates its color experience, and represents a significant deviation from the typically neutral color palette of the company in its Pro History.

The result is not a black iPhone and only three colors to choose from: silver, deep blue and cosmic orange. The silver is quite standard, and the deep blue renders look fantastic, but there is only one color for me: the cosmic orange.

This phone reminds the Nokia N8 that was launched 15 years ago, with its incredibly striking color guaranteed to highlight among the crowd. Apple will sell considerably more iPhone 17 units that Nokia sold from the N8, and although Orange will probably not be the most popular, it will lack the impact value that the N8 had during its time.

However, this could be exactly what the industry needs: color needs to return strongly, and I hope that the iPhone 17 Pro is a sign of what will come.

48mp teleobjective with 4x optical zoom

Two of the iPhone 17 Pro cameras have not undergone any change, but the main update is the new 48mp teleobjective, which offers an interesting 4x optical zoom and an 8X “optical quality” quality “zoom achieved through the cut in the sensor, which results in a 24MP photo.

This change comes with an additional benefit: the three iPhone 17 Pro cameras now have the same resolution of 48MP. As we have seen on devices such as Oppo Find X8 Pro, OnePlus 13 and Oppo Find X8 Ultra, having the same resolution in all lenses offers quality consistency, especially when changing between lenses while a video is recorded.

There are also several new video functions, including the new RAW Prore Video recording, which should allow the iPhone 17 Pro to continue capturing cinematographic masterpieces. Apple trusts both the recording capabilities that it recorded its entire Apple event with the iPhone 17 Pro camera, although with a very expensive secondary team connected.

18 MP multi -cost camera

The entire iPhone 17 series premieres the new 18MP central camera and looks wonderful. We have all had to turn a phone to capture a broader selfie in horizontal orientation, which can be especially difficult when you have a large group or while you record video.

Apple’s response? A new camera for multi -type stage center that promises to make this one thing of the past.

We have not tried it yet, but the premise is simple: a camera that can capture high -resolution photos and videos in different aspect relationships, everything without having to turn your phone. This looks incredible and will solve many of the key problems with selfie cameras, and I hope it becomes the default value for the selfie cameras of smartphones.

Larger batteries, especially with the ESIM model

Apple’s change towards a future only with ESIM took a great step forward with the iPhone 17 Pro line, with a clear benefit for only models with ESIM in the form of a larger battery.

However, whether you opt for an ESIM model or not, you will get a larger battery than last year iPhone 16 Pro, which should also lead to a significantly improved battery life. The Physical Sim model has a 3,988 mAh battery, one percent higher than last year, while the ESIM model is seven percent larger with 4,252 mAh.

What does this mean in real terms? According to Apple, the ESIM model offers 2 hours of additional duration of the video playback battery with the same load, up to a total of 39 hours.

These changes in the iPhone 17 Pro have convinced me that it is worth buying this year’s iPhone Pro. The new teleobjective camera, as well as the possibilities with the Center Stage Selfie and dual recording using rear and frontal chamber lenses at the same time.
