The e-commerce platform Mercado Libre announced that, starting in November, it will enable the official sale of the entire new line of Apple smartphones in Argentinaoffering consumers the possibility of directly purchasing the latest iPhone models.
They also highlighted that there will be installment financing, fast shipping and access to the trade-in program which allows used equipment to be delivered in exchange for credit in Mercado Pago.
The formal announcement indicates that Mercado Libre users will have access to a purchasing experience that prioritizes simplicity and security, adding the advantage of financing options with interest-free installments and the Protected Purchase coverage typical of the ecosystem.
Adrián Ecker, Country Manager of Mercado Libre Argentina, expressed the company’s enthusiasm for this launch: “This is a milestone for our platform and great news for our users, who will now be able to access a wide variety of products directly from one of the most relevant brands in the world,” he emphasized.
Waiting list
The strategy includes the enabling of a waiting list for interested partieswho can register online to receive first-hand information about the terms and conditions of availability. At the same time, those who opt for technological renewal will have the Mercado Libre Exchange Plan, a program that allows them to deliver a current device and obtain up to $700,000 in Mercado Pago credit when purchasing any equipment included in the scheme.
The comprehensive proposal includes technical support, after-sales service coverage and advice on the exchange processintegrating the transaction to the user’s existing Mercado Pago account. This, according to the company, reinforces the security of the operation and expedites the use of the credits received, either for future purchases or for other services available on the financial platform.
The possible prices
Las iPhone 17 versionsall with 256 GB capacity, present the following official prices in the United States: $799 for the iPhone 17; $999 for iPhone Air; $1,099 for iPhone 17 Pro; and $1,199 for the iPhone 17 Pro Max.
As has emerged in recent weeks, local users will be able to purchase it on some platforms at prices around: $2,000,000 for the iPhone 17, $2,550,000 for the iPhone Air; $2,800,000 for the IPhone 17 Pro and $2,950,000 for the IPhone 17 Pro Max.
