IOS 26.2: New Features & Changes | Apple Update

Apple today released the final version of iOS 26.2. It has also published an official list of everything new in this update.

This update includes improvements to Apple Music, Podcasts, Games, and other features, bug fixes, and security updates for iPhone.

The Favorites playlist is available in the Tops section of the Home tab.
You can view the lyrics of downloaded songs even when you are not connected to the Internet.

Links to podcasts that are mentioned in the episode you’re listening to let you browse and follow other podcasts directly in the player and in transcript view.

Filters in the game library let you search for games by category, size, and more.
In-game banners with challenge results are updated live when someone else takes the lead.
Improved support for Backbone, Razer and other controllers.

This update also includes the following improvements and bug fixes:

An additional option to adjust the time on the lock screen allows you to change its appearance by reducing or increasing the opacity of the Liquid Glass material.
Reminder alerts help you not miss urgent tasks. If you don’t want to mark the reminder as done right away, you can use the snooze or live events feature.
AirDrop Codes add a layer of verification to increase security when using AirDrop with unknown contacts. To complete sending, the sender must enter the code displayed on the recipient’s device.

In the Home app, you can easily pair accessories that are sold together in a set using a single setup code.
An option has been added to the Flash on Alerts panel in Accessibility Settings to enable your device’s screen to flash when you receive a notification.
Tables in Freeform can contain text, images, documents, and drawings, and their cells automatically resize to fit the content, organizing the workspace.
Fixed an issue that prevented pre-release albums from playing in the Apple Music library upon release.
Fixed an issue where settings in the Privacy & Security section could be incorrectly marked as being managed by a business organization.
