They Opened A Powerful Solar Energy Park In…

Molėtai Solar Park is located in a hilly area, where there are many opportunities to catch the powerful rays of the sun at different times of the day. The solar park was built using Nordic Solar’s patented double-sided solar panel modules, which generate electricity from both sides. In addition, the development of the solar park included several initiatives to promote biodiversity in the area.

The Molėtai solar park was connected to the grid in April, in cooperation with the Lithuanian electricity transmission system operator Litgrid.

“Lithuania has set ambitious energy goals – increasing national electricity generation to complete energy independence. We are moving towards this goal and doing our best to have a sustainable and high added value energy industry. We are happy that after the start of electricity production in the parks of Molėtai, Švenčioni and Jonava solar power plants of Nordic Solar, the national installed power of solar power plants will increase, and renewable energy will be able to reach more households,” said Deputy Minister of Energy Daiva Garbaliauskaitė.

Solar energy is the fastest growing energy source in the EU. Its faster implementation helps to reduce the price of electricity and dependence on imported fossil fuels.

Fed Holds Rates Steady, Apple Reports Q2 Earnings…

The Federal Reserve’s Decision: Exploring the Impact on Investors

The Federal Reserve made headlines this week after announcing its decision to maintain interest rates and suggesting that they will remain high for a longer period. This move has implications for investors across various sectors, particularly corporations such as Apple and Peloton.

Apple is set to release its fiscal second-quarter earnings report today, with market experts closely monitoring the tech giant’s performance in China. Recently, there were reports of sluggish iPhone sales in the country, which may indicate potential challenges ahead for the corporation. A prolonged high-interest rate environment could negatively affect consumer spending and impact companies such as Apple.

Peloton also captured investor attention this week after CEO Barry McCarthy announced his plans to step down. The news caused shares of the home-fitness company to rise early Thursday during pre-market trading. However, with interest rates remaining steady, shareholders are anxiously awaiting more information about how this move will impact future earnings reports.

As we look ahead to May 2nd’s market open, investors need to consider these fundamental themes and concepts when evaluating opportunities in the stock market.

  • Consumer Spending: With high-interest rates expected to continue over a prolonged period;

The Bank Of Lithuania Is Strengthening Its Defense…

“As the scale of financial fraud grows, so does the role of payment service providers in managing this threat – they are one of the most important lines of defense.” In the Guidelines, we have incorporated the experience we have gathered through inspections, dealing with consumer disputes and complaints. This is a practical guide that we’ve put together after evaluating both good and bad practices, which we hope will help limit the actions of fraudsters.

In addition to effective internal procedures and information technology solutions, it is very important for fraud prevention that financial institutions actively communicate with customers – publish warnings clearly and in a visible place, respond promptly to reports and complaints,” says Simonas Krėpšta, a member of the Board of the Bank of Lithuania.

With the recommendations and examples of good practice presented in the guidelines, the Bank of Lithuania aims to help payment service providers to be resistant to financial fraud, to use effective organizational and technical measures, to detect fraudsters’ attacks (including new schemes) in time, to respond promptly to them, and to properly manage the risks in this area .

The guidelines apply to licensed financial market participants providing payment services (banks,

The TER Givors-Lyon Line Still Cut

Train traffic between Givors and Lyon-Perrache station, interrupted since Sunday evening following a “slope subsidence” linked to heavy rains which blocked a TER, will not resume “before Wednesday 1is May “announced the SNCF, Monday April 29.

“The SNCF Réseau teams dispatched to the site indicated that infrastructure work was necessary”explained the SNCF.

A TER transporting around 200 people found itself stuck on Sunday around 7 p.m. south of Lyon, in Grigny-le-Sablon (Rhône). He is “partially off the rails after hitting the mudslide”but he remained ” standing “specified the SNCF. A special train was sent from Lyon-Perrache station to pick up the passengers of the damaged train around 10 p.m.

Foreign Investments Are Declining Everywhere, Except In Limburg

Brussels/Hasselt –

Belgium has seen the number of foreign direct investments decrease by 8 percent in 2023 to 215 announced investments. But the number of jobs associated with it fell by 39 percent to 4,918. Limburg appears to be an outsider: foreign investments increased spectacularly here.

This is evident from the annual ‘Barometer of Belgian Attractiveness’, a study with which EY gauges the attractiveness of our country as an investment location. Compared to other European countries, Belgium is still holding up reasonably well in terms of investments: a decline of 8 percent. Until further notice, foreign direct investments will not start after corona. The explanation must be sought in international investments that are slowing down due to disappointing economic growth, high inflation, rising geopolitical tensions worldwide and persistently high energy prices.

These tensions are palpable throughout Europe. In other countries the decline was even sharper, so that Belgium managed to rise in the ranking from ninth to eighth. The additional jobs associated with these investments are very disappointing for Belgium. Compared to a year earlier, they dropped by 39 percent to 4,918.

Transfers? You Wont Need The IBAN, Just The…

#Transfers #wont #IBAN #cell #phone #number #youll #mistaken #recipient #Observer

Bank customers will be able search by cell phone number (of the recipient) when they want to make a transfer, thanks to a new platform created by Banco de Portugal – whose name will only be revealed in the coming weeks – and which banks will have to make available this summer. The service will mean that people will start using their IBAN less to make transfers through apps of banks or homebanking.

Searching by mobile phone number is one of several new features that will appear in the coming weeks in payment services in Portugal. In practice, what will happen is that, when making a transfer, instead of having to enter the 21 digits of an IBAN (which is not very convenient and can lead to mistakes), you will be able to search for a contact’s cell phone number and make the transfer using this “shortcut”. This involves using the mobile phone number as an alternative to using the IBAN,

Salvini, Meloni And The Four Million Abuses To…

Roma — The announcement of the leader of the League Matteo Salvini of a package of rules to remedy abuses within the homes of Italians has stiffened, and not a little, the prime minister Giorgia Meloni and his party. «Announcing amnesties and amnesties during the election campaign without first talking about it with allies is not correct», whispers a leading FdI representative. But the topic is too popular in the country of squatters: to date there are still 4.2 million amnesty applications pending. We are talking about an “electoral” basin worth millions and millions of votes. Ricci “Irresponsible propaganda. The problems of cities are different”

by Rosaria Amato

06 April 2024

A basin that the right has always caressed, and with the Brothers of Italy often at the forefront: as in Lazio or Sicily where, on the proposal of the Melonians, rules are being discussed which would also sanction completely illegal houses and on the coast, rather than small abuses. So the line of Palazzo Chigi is that of opening to the “confrontation” with Salvini on this issue: «As it is inevitable, in the absence of a text on which to discuss,

Auto, The Italian Market Recovers In April: Sales…

After the setback in March, sales on the Italian car market are growing again. Last month, 135,353 cars were registered by the Italian motor authority, with a variation of +7.52% compared to April 2023, when 125,884 were registered (in March 162,083 cars were registered, -3.71%).

The progressive total for the first four months of the year thus rises to 586,665 cars, up 6.1% compared to the 552,941 in the period January-April 2023.

According to the Stud Promotor Centre, the market remains weak also due to the wait for the incentives “announced too long” and which are expected by the end of May. “In March the market recorded its first decline – explains the CSP – after nineteen months of growth. A significant recovery was expected in April. The increase of 7.52% cannot be considered significant because in April there were two extra days worked which, in terms of registrations, are worth around 10% of the monthly result. The slowdown in the March market cannot therefore be considered overcome”. Furthermore, Promotor reports that “compared to the pre-crisis situation, i.e. 2019, the data for the first four months still records a drop of 17.7%”. President Gian Primo Quagliano is clear: “The prospects of a recovery in a reasonable time from the strong delay in the Italian car market do not appear positive”.
