Musical Journey Dedicated to Mothers
Ermane and Fernández weave together familiar tunes and original compositions, creating a vibrant tapestry of sound. The program will feature selections from their acclaimed concert series, “Wine. Words. Love…”, a project dedicated to honoring mothers that has toured Latvia since last summer.this concert is notably poignant, arriving just before Mother’s Day, a holiday celebrated globally with varying traditions. For example, in the United States, Mother’s Day sees an estimated $35.7 billion spent on gifts and celebrations, according to the National Retail federation.
The program includes both songs from the concert program “Wine. words. Love …”, with which Inese Ermane and Javjer Fernandess have been traveling to Latvia since last summer and dedicated to mothers.
The Global Importance of Motherhood
Javier Fernández emphasizes the profound importance of mothers across cultures. In any culture,be it Spanish,or Latvian, the mother is very crucial. We are all proud of our moms, as now we are as we are in the values of the mother in childhood. Every day is good to thank the mother for dedicating her life to us and expressing her love. Music preparing songs for this program is overwhelmed by love, thinking about the warmth of the mom’s heart,
he explains, highlighting the formative role mothers play in shaping our values and identities.
Inese Ermane reflects on the personal significance of Mother’s Day, noting, Mother’s Day is not only associated with warm childhood memories and mom’s numbers, but also my baby greetings to me as a mom. Mother’s love is the greatest love that can be, it never ends. This is a beautiful continuity in the closet.
Her words capture the enduring and reciprocal nature of maternal love, a bond that transcends generations.
A Rich Tapestry of Musical Selections
The concert’s instrumental accompaniment will be provided by a talented ensemble: Alexander Kuzmin on guitar, Edgar Jass on keyboards, and Anton Gella on percussion. The setlist promises a diverse range of musical styles, including beloved classics such as “Bessame Mucho,” “Azzurro,” and “Champs Elysées.” The program also features “You thrilled me” from Ainars Mielavs’ repertoire, Raimonds Pauls’ “Mother’s nanny” (with lyrics by Anna Rancane), and Imants Kalniņš’s iconic song from the movie “Breathe Deep!” – “They danced one summer,” a piece that garnered Inese and Javier the “heart Song of Latvia” award at the 2024 “Latvian Heart Songs” competition.
