The company currently operates over 60 power plants both domestically and internationally,marking a meaningful milestone in its nearly three-decade history.

For nearly three decades,PLN IP Services has proven its strategic role as a leading energy solution provider in Indonesia and supports the sustainability of the PLN Indonesia Power business as the largest subholding generation company in Southeast Asia, he stated. This expansion underscores the company’s commitment to providing reliable and sustainable energy solutions across the region.

Beyond its operational achievements, PLN IP Services is playing a crucial role in Indonesia’s energy transition. The company is actively contributing to the national Net Zero Emission target by 2060, aligning its business activities with the broader transformation of the national electricity sector. This commitment supports PLN (Persero)’s ambition to become a Top 500 Global Company.

This commitment aligns with global trends.According to the International Energy Agency (IEA), renewable energy capacity is projected to increase by 2,400 GW globally between 2022 and 2027, which is equivalent to the entire power capacity of China today. PLN IP Services’ focus on both thermal and non-thermal plants positions it to capitalize on this growth while contributing to a cleaner energy future.

Comprehensive O&M and MRO Services

Hari Cahyono, Director of PLN Indonesia Power Services, highlighted the company’s extensive experience in providing reliable power Plant Operation and Maintenance (O&M) services. At present we manage more than 60 generating units, both thermal and non-later, with a focus on Availability, Reliability, Quality, Safety, and Performance, Cahyono explained.

Along with O&M, PLN IP Services offers comprehensive maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services. These services are designed to ensure optimal performance of power plants through efficiency, reliability, and high-quality execution. The MRO services are supported by internationally certified personnel,modern technology,and adherence to global standards.

global Reach and “Beyond KWH” Strategy

PLN IP Services is extending its reach beyond Indonesia,undertaking international projects in Vietnam,Malaysia,and Cambodia. These projects, including turbine inspections and generator maintenance, demonstrate the company’s growing reputation and capabilities in the global market.

One notable project is the collaboration with EVN NPS in Vietnam for turbine inspections and generators at the Nghi Son TPP and TPP Hai Phong.This service is part of the development of Beyond KWH which strengthens our position in the global market, explained Cahyono, indicating a strategic focus on expanding service offerings beyond traditional power generation.
