JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV – The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) again issued an early warning for July 1 and 2, 2025 related to the potential for moderate to very dense rain that could hit a number of regions in Indonesia.
Based on the latest data on the account Instagram BMKG, various regions ranging from Aceh, Sumatra, Java, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, to the Papua region are expected to experience a fairly high rainfall, even some areas with alert status.
This extreme weather condition has the potential to cause inundation to flooding, especially in areas that already have a hydrometeorological disaster vulnerability.

Regions such as North Maluku, Maluku, Central Papua, Central Sulawesi, to South Papua are included in the very heavy rainy list according to BMKG monitoring.
While some other regions also need to be aware of the threat of strong winds that can accompany heavy rain.
With this situation, BMKG urges residents to continue to monitor the latest weather information and take anticipatory steps to minimize the risk of extreme weather impacts in early July.
