KOMPAS.com – Chairman of the House of Representatives Commission XI Mukhamad Misbakhun criticized a number of rating agencies who cut the rating of Indonesian debt.

The Ministry of Finance data recorded that this ratio reached 19.28 percent in 2020. The ratio declined to 17.12 percent in 2021, then dropped again to 14.69 percent in 2022.
But the trend turned up from 2023 to 15.90 percent. The 2024 projection rose to 17.45 percent, and in the 2025 State Budget design, this ratio was estimated to touch 18.40 percent.
This increased ratio shows the greater debt interest expense. The country’s fiscal space can be more limited for priority spending.
