Mulino, a 64-year-old right-wing lawyer with a strong character and gray hair, took over from Martinelli after he was disqualified as a candidate after a conviction against him for money laundering was reaffirmed.

Monday, May 6, 2024 at 9:08 p.m.

Rabat – The Interministerial Delegation for Human Rights (DIDH) affirmed, Monday, that the part devoted to Morocco in the Amnesty International (AI) report for 2023, published on April 24, constitutes proof of more of the systematic relentlessness of this organization and its obstinacy in continuing its campaigns against the Kingdom.

In a press release, the DIDH underlines that these campaigns are based on a selective approach in the presentation of data, the choice of cases, and in the way of presenting the cases, by drawing, in an arbitrary manner, erroneous conclusions on the based on false stories and baseless allegations.

The AI has falsely advanced, continues the same source, allegations of “intolerance with regard to freedom of expression”, on the basis of certain cases selected, judged or currently being judged, without taking into account the fact that this approach constitutes a violation of the primacy of the law and the principle of equality, as well as a consecration of an approach of impunity offering protection to certain individuals involved in cases of crimes falling under public law, and denying victims’ right to justice.

University Of Mississippi Launches Investigation Into Students Racist…

The Complex Issues Surrounding the University of Mississippi Investigation

The recent incident at the University of Mississippi, where white counter-protesters made offensive and racist statements during a pro-Palestinian demonstration, has sparked outrage and an official investigation. The clash between the diverse group of students protesting against Israel’s war in Gaza and the predominantly white counter-protesters highlights deep-seated issues of racism and intolerance that still persist today.

A History Marred by Racism

The University of Mississippi has a troubling history when it comes to racial equality. It wasn’t until 1962, under legal pressure, that the university accepted its first black student. His arrival was met with rioting from thousands of white people, prompting President John F Kennedy to send in the national guard for protection.

Even after integration, instances like Black students going into hiding on campus due to threats from white students singing “Dixie” or brazen Ku Klux Klan marches through university grounds in the past serve as painful reminders.

The Ongoing Investigation

Following Thursday’s incident, where video footage went viral showing a white counter-protester jumping up and down while making monkey noises in front of a black woman with the pro-Palestinian protest group,
