Indiana men’s basketball got its first high-major win in just its second game of the season with a 100-77 drubbing against Marquette on Sunday at the United Center in Chicago.
The Hoosiers were deep in foul trouble throughout the game, with two players picking up three fouls, two more picking up four and one, Conor Enright fouling out of the game entirely. It just didn’t matter, with Indiana generating good shot after good shoot en route to hitting 50% of its attempts from the field including 50% from 3-point range.
Tucker DeVries led the way in scoring with 28, shooting 6/9 from long range in the process. Lamar Wilkerson wasn’t far behind, going 6-10 from beyond the arc while scoring 23 of his own. The Hoosiers held up tremendously against the Golden Eagles’ defensive pressure, with 27 assists to just eight turnovers.
Indiana will return to action on Wednesday against Milwaukee at Assembly Hall in Bloomington, Indiana.
