Nonie’s Passing: A Heartfelt Farewell Ceremony to Celebrate Her Life
Nonie has entered into eternal rest, having peacefully passed away in the Slievenamon Unit at Tipperary University Hospital, surrounded by the love and presence of her family. Her journey came to a close following the loss of her husband, Luke, and her sister, Helen, earlier this year.
Beloved Family and Friends Mourn Her Loss
The community of Ardfinnan and Midleton is deeply saddened by Nonie’s loss. She is survived by her heartbroken daughter, Breda (Guerin), and her son-in-law, Shane. Her four grandchildren, Emily, Luke, JP, and Alison, her brothers Jim and Michael, and her sisters Veronica, Patricia, Geraldine, and Tina will miss Nonie immensely.
Her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, and the extended family of Ardfinnan and Midleton will remember Nonie fondly. She was also cherished by her many good friends and neighbors.
Details of the Funeral Service
Aurora of Ardfinnan Parish will pay tribute to Nonie’s remarkable life and legacy with a service of remembrance. Throughout the winter, she will rest in Bilberry House in Midleton, Co. Cork, where the family has invited the public to pay their respects.
Open visitation will take place on Thursday, January 2nd, and Friday, January 3rd, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Memorial Mass and Burial
Family and friends will come together to celebrate Nonie’s life during the Requiem Mass on Saturday, January 4th, at the Church of the Holy Family, Ardfinnan, at 12:00 PM.
The last rites will be performed at St. Finnian’s Cemetery in Ardfinnan.

Unfortunately, not everyone is able to attend the funeral mass in person. However, those who wish to join from afar can view the service on a live stream through the Ardfinnan Parish.
