IMSS Oaxaca Vaccination: Dates & Location – Alameda de León

The Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) in Oaxaca through its Family Medicine Unit (UMF) No. 01, will perform vaccination campaign on September 17, 18 and 19, 2025 in the Alameda de León, in the historic center of the city of Oaxaca.

The director of the UMF No. 01, Dr. Melitón Santiago Cuevas reported that nursing staff of said unit will be applying the biological at a schedule from 08:00 to 13:00 hours to beneficiaries and non -beneficiaries, with the objective that the population has the basic scheme of complete vaccination.

To do this, he mentioned that the biological for hepatitis B will be applied to children under 7 days of birth; The Hexavalente, for children of 2, 4, 6 and 18 months and the vitamin A granted for children under 6 months to 4 years.

The IMSS doctor added that doses will also be provided against rotavirus for children under 2 and 4 months; and the SRP (triple viral) that apply 2 doses until before 10 years. In addition to the SR (double viral) for those aged 10 to 49 (without prior dose).

There will also be a pneumococcal vaccine, for adults over 60 and TDPA (pregnant) which is granted from 20 weeks of gestation.

For the application of vaccines it is important that those interested present their National Health Card, regardless of the medical institution to which they belong, said Dr. Santiago Cuevas, who invited the general population to go to the module, since vaccination is considered as a positive and effective practice for disease prevention and a key element within preventive medicine.

He commented that vaccination is vital because it protects the individual and the community against serious diseases, using the immune system to generate protective antibodies.
