Sustainability at the Forefront

IKEA’s commitment to becoming climate-positive by 2030 is a driving force behind the “Click & Get” expansion. By offering a convenient local pickup option, IKEA hopes to reduce the environmental impact of individual customer trips to larger stores. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to minimize the company’s carbon footprint and promote sustainable consumption.

Currently, the transportation sector accounts for a significant portion of global carbon emissions. According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), transportation accounted for 27% of total U.S. greenhouse gas emissions in 2020. Initiatives like IKEA’s “Click & Get” can contribute to reducing these emissions by consolidating deliveries and shortening customer travel distances.

Ikea aims to get closer to the many peopel, along with becoming climate-positive by 2030. With the new service we take a new step in the right direction to achieve our goals.
