ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Albuquerque is going quantum this Labor Day weekend. The city hosted the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Quantum Week Conference on Sunday at the Albuquerque Convention Center.

Event coordinators say more than 1,400 experts and students from around the world shared the latest breakthroughs in quantum computing, which includes two Nobel Prize winners. Organizers say the event will bring in about $1.5 million to the city’s economy and highlight Albuquerque’s growing role in science and tech.
