Düsseldorf’s Future Workshop Extends Free Job Support to Rath Residents

The Future Workshop Düsseldorf (ZWD) is partnering with the rath district library to provide accessible, no-cost career guidance to local adults, especially those facing long-term unemployment.

empowering Job Seekers in Düsseldorf-rath

Starting May 8th, residents of Düsseldorf-Rath seeking to revitalize their careers will have access to free, readily available support. The I-Punkt work initiative, a branch of the Future Workshop Düsseldorf (ZWD), is collaborating with the Rath district library to offer open, complimentary advice to adults. This initiative specifically targets individuals over 25 who have experienced prolonged unemployment and are receiving citizen’s benefits (formerly known as Alg II). Crucially, no prior registration is required, making the service easily accessible within the community.

This initiative comes at a crucial time. According to recent statistics from the Federal Employment Agency, long-term unemployment remains a significant challenge in north Rhine-Westphalia, with Düsseldorf being one of the affected cities. Programs like this are vital in providing targeted support to those who need it most.

Extensive Career Guidance Services

Experienced specialists from the ZWD will be present on specific dates to offer personalized and confidential consultations. Key areas of support include:

  • Cultivating new professional perspectives and career paths.
  • Assistance with job training and effective job searching strategies.
  • Crafting and refining compelling application documents (resumes and cover letters).
  • readiness and coaching for job interviews.
  • Guidance on the recognition of professional qualifications obtained abroad.
