Mayor Michelle Wu has named Zoë Petty as the new Hyde Park Liaison within the Office of Neighborhood Services. The office plays a crucial role in linking residents with city services, facilitating community input in local government, ensuring city departments address service requests, attending neighborhood meetings, and aiding residents during emergencies.
“Hyde Park is such a diverse, community-driven neighborhood. Zoë has strong ties to the communities of Boston through her lived experience and career in government,making her a great asset to connect the residents of Hyde Park to the Office of Neighborhood Services,” said mayor Michelle Wu.
Zoë Petty, a Boston native, attributes her passion for civic engagement to the city’s resources and community organizations. Her involvement began early, volunteering with Youth Enrichment Services (YES) at age 13. She also served on the Mayor’s Youth Council. Petty holds a degree in Strategic Communication and Political Science from Temple University and has worked at the Massachusetts State House,Madison park Progress Corporation,and the Community College of Philadelphia. She also interned with the British Parliament.

The Mayor’s Office of Neighborhood Services is managed by Executive Director Lindsey Santana, supported by four deputy directors who supervise liaisons and community engagement specialists. They also provide neighborhoods with additional support.

In this role, she will connect with residents, local businesses, and civic organizations to ensure everyone has the necessary resources and support to thrive in Boston.”
Residents can meet with neighborhood liaisons at upcoming Coffee Hours with the Mayor or at weekly office hours every Friday for guidance on navigating city services.
