Research and development (R&D) includes research and development activities covering the discovery, development, manufacturing and regulatory functions of drugs, licensing of drugs developed internally, as well as administrative activities to support research and development operations, marketed products include billed sales, marketing, manufacturing and distribution of drugs developed from research and development activities. The Other Businesses segment is engaged in other business activities which include sales, marketing, manufacturing and distribution of other prescription drugs and health products.
