A Japanese woman named Nemu Kusano has touched hearts after sharing her painful life story through a comic. She turned her real experiences into drawings to show her struggle and strength as a mother. Kusano married her husband after a friend introduced them. She trusted him fully, believing he was “serious and shy.” Soon after marriage, she gave birth to a son who was diagnosed with an extremely rare illness and her life became very difficult.
Her husband worked long hours and used to stay away from home, leaving Kusano alone to care for their sick child day and night. While managing hospital visits and daily care, she also faced a shocking truth about her marriage. She found signs that her husband was cheating, including items like condoms in his bag and strange app alerts on his phone. Later, it was revealed that he had 520 affairs. Despite being hurt, Kusano chose not to take revenge and focused on protecting her child.
Japanese Mother Shares Her Pain Through A Comic
As per South China Morning Post, Nemu Kusano decided to take her husband for medical checks and treatment. Doctors said he had sex addiction, which started during his school days. Knowing the reason did not take away her pain, but it helped her stop blaming herself. She understood that his actions were not because of her, which gave her some relief. For the sake of her son, she tried to keep some contact with her husband. She even joined therapy sessions with him and believed things might improve. Over time, she realised that staying together was not the right choice and decided to live separately.
Kusano raised her son on her own and slowly accepted her life. Instead of feeling sad, she chose to face the truth with strength. During this phase, she found comfort in art and Japanese manga artist Piroyo Arai turned her painful memories into comics.
Nemu Kusano later wrote and published a book about everything she went through in her life. In it, she shared her feelings as a mother and her journey of raising her child alone. She explained that even after all the pain and struggles, she has no regrets about giving all her time to raise a lovely child.
