Huawei Mate X7 design
Huawei implemented strengthening of the screen structure on both parts, both the inner screen and the outer screen and the body frame, as well as optimizing the hinge system to maintain reliability for long-term use.
The following technology is embedded in the Huawei Mate X7 to make it tougher than other foldable devices.
- Material Ultra-High Strength Steel 3.0 to 2350 MPa combined with an aviation grade aluminum frame with a 37% increase in strength, providing a more solid structure for long-term use.
- Latest hinge system design with approach zero-contact to help reduce pressure when the device is folded.
- Screen in use 3-layer Composite Ultra-Tough Structure which increases bending resistance by up to 100% and impact resistance by up to 20% compared to the previous generation.
- The outer screen uses Ultra Durable Crystal Armour Kunlun Glass with increased scratch resistance up to 16x and drop resistance up to 25x compared to standard glass.
- IP58 certification (waterproof up to 2 meters) and IP59 (withstands high pressure water spray and high temperatures up to 80°C), as well as support Wet Touch for screen accuracy when used in wet screen conditions. This is the highest durability certification currently for a folding cellphone foldable.
The main advantage of the HUAWEI Mate The Mate X7’s interface has also been refined to support multi-tasking up to three applications at once to help while working. In some scenarios, the Mate X7 can replace tablets and laptops as work aids.
Huawei Mate X7 camera
Huawei also improved the Mate X7’s camera capabilities. One thing that has been improved is the camera’s ability to produce colors that are accurate to the original color, or what is called True-to-Color Camera. According to Huawei, color accuracy increases by up to 43%, even in complex lighting with the True-to-Color camera so that photos and videos remain natural and precise.
The Huawei Mate X7 camera also has 17.5 EV Cinematic Ultra HDR support LOFIC sensor allows the details of bright and dark areas to be captured in a more balanced manner. According to Huawei, improvements dynamic range reaching 21× compared to the previous generation.
But the most interesting feature of the Huawei Mate X7 camera is adjustable aperture in the main camera lens. Users can choose the aperture according to their needs; f1.49 for photos with a smooth bokeh effect and f4 for photos with sharper details.
