A woman who parked her vehicle at Fuente Shopping in San Lorenzo stepped on the accelerator, crashed into the blindex and fell down the escalators of the shopping center. The two occupants suffered minor injuries, but fortunately, no one else was injured.

The incident occurred this morning in Fuente Shopping e involved a Kia car that was parked in front of one of the pedestrian entrances to the shopping center, a few meters from the escalators.

The driver would have confused the brake with the accelerator, after which, He collided with the blindex and then fell to the stairs that lead to the basement of the parking lot. Miraculously, no one was on the stairs at the time of the incident and there were no collateral victims.

Captain Pablo Tapia, a volunteer firefighter, reported that the driver, identified as Evangelista Ávalos Gómez, 68 years old, was practically unharmed, but her companion, María Cristina López, 71 years old, suffered cuts to her head. Both were referred to the Trauma Hospital.

Meanwhile, the vehicle continues on the stairs and there is a risk that the structure will give way and end up falling, so people were asked to leave the place to avoid greater risks.
