Among those who came to offer condolences was Desiree Tarigan, Hotma Sitompul’s former wife, who arrived at the funeral home accompanied by her son, Bambang Reguna bukit, known professionally as Bams samson, and her close friend Rieta Amilia. The pair maintained a somber silence, departing shortly after paying their respects.

PDIP politician Ruhut Sitompul also visited the funeral home, arriving later in the evening. He shared memories of his long-standing professional relationship with Hotma, highlighting their collaboration on numerous cases over two decades.

We were together for over 20 years, in the same law office, working on the same tasks, handling cases involving the TNI-polri, human rights issues, and also civil and criminal matters.
