GadgetDIVA – Honor has once again strengthened its position in the high-performance cellphone segment by releasing two new gaming devices, namely Honor Win and Honor Win RT, in the Chinese market. These two cellphones are specifically designed for mobile gamers who prioritize extreme performance, large battery life, and a more serious cooling system than conventional cellphones.
Quoting the GSM Arena report, the Honor Win comes as the highest variant by relying on the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset combined with the Adreno 830 GPU. Meanwhile, the Honor Win RT is one level below using the Snapdragon 8 Elite, which is still in the flagship chipset category for heavy gaming needs.
In terms of memory, these two devices are no joke. Honor equips Win and Win RT with LPDDR5X Ultra RAM up to 16 GB, as well as UFS 4.1 internal storage with a maximum capacity of up to 1 TB. This combination allows the multitasking process to run more smoothly, while ensuring shorter game loading times.
Turning to the screen sector, Honor has installed a 6.83 inch OLED panel on both models. The screen supports a refresh rate of up to 185 Hz, Full HD+ resolution, and HDR10+ technology. Interestingly, the screen’s peak brightness level is claimed to reach 6,000 nits, so it remains comfortable to use in direct sunlight. In addition, there is support for 5,920 Hz PWM dimming to reduce eye fatigue during long gaming sessions.
Not only that, Honor also includes an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor inside the screen, which offers better speed and accuracy than ordinary optical sensors. This certainly adds a premium and functional impression to the two cellphones.
In the camera sector, Honor Win appears more complete. This device is equipped with three rear cameras consisting of a 50 MP main camera with a 1/1.56 inch sensor and OIS support, a 50 MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and a 12 MP ultra wide camera. In contrast, the Honor Win RT is not equipped with a telephoto camera, although it still has a capable main camera. For selfie needs, both rely on a 50 MP front camera.
One of the main attractions of this series lies in the cooling system. The rear camera modules of both phones are equipped with active cooling fans with speeds of up to 25,000 RPM. Honor claims that this system is able to keep the device temperature stable, even when used to play heavy games for a long time.
In terms of power, Honor has installed a silicon-carbon battery with a capacity of 10,000 mAh on the Win and Win RT. This capacity is considered very large for today’s smartphones. For charging, both support 100 W wired fast charging, while the Honor Win also supports wireless charging up to 80 W.
Both devices run MagicOS 10 based on Android 16, and have IP68, IP69, to IP69K resistance certification, which means they are resistant to dust, water, and high pressure spray. Other features include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, infrared sensor, stereo speakers with Honor AI surround subwoofer, and dual SIM 5G connectivity.
For price, Honor Win is offered in several variants. The 12 GB/256 GB model is priced at CNY 3,999 or around Rp. 9.5 million, while the highest 16 GB/1 TB variant is sold for CNY 5,299 or around Rp. 12.6 million. This cellphone is available in black, white and blue color options.
Meanwhile, the Honor Win RT comes at a more affordable price. The cheapest 12 GB/256 GB variant is priced at CNY 2,699 or around Rp. 6.46 million, while the highest 16 GB/1 TB variant is sold for CNY 3,999 or around Rp. 9.5 million. The color choices are the same as the Honor Win.
With a combination of jumbo batteries, flagship chipsets, super fast screens and active cooling, the Honor Win and Win RT are clearly targeting users who want serious gaming phones without compromising performance.
