Honda has officially carried out a light refresh on the Honda ZR-V in Japan. This facelift comes almost four years after the SUV model was first launched. In terms of positioning, the ZR-V in Japan can be said to be the twin version of the HR-V for the North American market.

Quoted from the page Carscoopsthe changes given to the ZR-V are relatively minor. The refresh includes new color options, new wheel designs, revised interior themes, as well as increased standard features. The ZR-V range now consists of types X, Z, Black Style and a new Cross Touring variant.

In the Z variant as the highest trim, the basic exterior appearance is still the same. But now new colors are available such as Twilight Mist Black Pearl, Meteoroid Gray Metallic, and Seabed Blue Pearl. The 18 inch five double spoke alloy wheels are also a differentiator. Meanwhile, the grille design still maintains the characteristic vertical blades.

Entering the cabin, the standard features are abundant. There is a 9-inch infotainment screen with Google integration, a 10.2-inch digital instrument panel, a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system, electric seats with heating, dual-zone AC, and a multi-view camera.

The Black Style variant is based on the Z type, but appears darker with a honeycomb grille motif, Crystal Black Pearl accents around the body, and 18 inch Berlina Black alloy wheels. That dark tone also continues into the interior.

Meanwhile, the Cross Touring is a new addition with a tougher appearance. The honeycomb grille and bumper design are inspired by the US-spec HR-V, combined with an aluminum-style underguard design, side skirts, additional cladding and matte black wheels. The exclusive Desert Beige Pearl color with beige leather interior with orange stitching is an attractive option.

All 2026 ZR-Vs now feature a 2.0-liter e:HEV hybrid system with a combined power of 181 hp. The non-hybrid 1.5 turbo engine is officially discontinued. FWD and AWD options are available. Honda will announce the official price of the latest ZR-V on March 26.
