Honda has not made much of a mark on the sales charts in Norway in recent years, but Japan’s second largest car manufacturer is still huge in other markets.
At the time of writing, they currently have one electric model and two hybrids in Norway, but have announced a strong electric investment in the coming years.
Changing logo for the first time in 35 years
And on that occasion, they have decided to refresh the well-known H logo, which is one of the automotive world’s most recognizable symbols.
It doesn’t happen very often. The last time Honda made major changes to the logo was in 1981.
It is also the only time it has been revised since the original was introduced in 1963, writes the website Car and Driver.

Outstretched hands
First, the rounded square around the H disappears. At the same time, the H is widened slightly at the top, so that it resembles two outstretched hands,
The new logo is not completely unknown to the public. It has been used on several concept models in the past.
The first cars with the new logo will probably appear already this year, and from next year it will adorn all electric cars and hybrids that roll out of the world’s Honda factories.
Honda says the new logo will also be used in other parts of the business, including motorsport and dealer links.
