Two 400cc concept models introduced
Honda held a press conference at the 42nd Osaka Motorcycle Show 2026 and announced two 400cc sports concept models, the concept model “CB400 SUPER FOUR E-Clutch Concept” and “zc”.
The CBR400R FOUR E-Clutch Concept is a sports model that promotes the “New Generation Sport “Exhilaration you get from everyday use” and enhances the sense of fulfillment you get by concentrating on driving. In addition to the full cowl, which has a solid shape that looks like it has been carved out of metal, it also visually expresses advancedness and high performance by adopting a futuristic lighting design.
On the other hand, the CB400 SUPER FOUR E-Clutch Concept is a model with the development concept of “Next Stage CB ‘Every moment leads to enjoyment'” and aims to be a standard naked sports model that allows you to enjoy the fun of riding in all situations. Inheriting the flow of the first-generation CB400 SUPER FOUR that appeared in 1992, it is a modern evolution of the historic CB brand while following the style of the Japanese naked, which is easy to handle and has excellent versatility.
Both models are characterized by the fact that they adopt a newly developed platform aimed at maximizing fun rides and are equipped with a newly designed inline 4-cylinder engine. Furthermore, by incorporating advanced technologies such as the Honda E-Clutch, which automatically controls clutch operation, and the throttle-by-wire system, which electronically controls throttle operation, it provides a higher quality and more comfortable riding experience.
Development of the two concept models is progressing smoothly.

Katsuhiro Murooka, president of Honda Motorcycle Japan, said the following at a press conference held at the Honda booth at the Osaka Motorcycle Show.
“Through this new 400cc model, we will create an opportunity for young customers to step into the world of motorcycles, and by being close to the motorcycle life of each rider who owns this model, we will increase the number of future riders and foster the future of motorcycle culture. With this spirit, we will move forward to the next stage. Both models are currently under development so that they can be delivered to customers in the near future. Please look forward to it.”

The “CB400 SUPER FOUR E-Clutch Concept” is a model that pursues enjoyment in everyday life while inheriting the context of traditional naked cars, and the “CBR400R FOUR E-Clutch Concept” is a full cowl sports model that emphasizes the immersive feeling and advanced nature of driving.
Both cars share a newly developed inline 4-cylinder engine and platform, and feature advanced technologies such as the Honda E-Clutch and throttle-by-wire. This proposal aims to appeal to a wide range of people, including young people, as a new generation 400cc model that combines ease of handling and sportiness. Development is progressing with a view to commercialization, and future trends are attracting attention.
