On Monday night, the Alabama Crimson Tide opened the 2025-26 season with an impressive 91-62 home win over the North Dakota Fighting Hawks.
However, the Crimson Tide did so a bit short handed, as four different Alabama players were unavailable due to an injury, with each not dressing in uniform for the contest. Those players were returning guards Aden Holloway and Latrell Wrightsell Jr., as well as transfer additions Jalil Bethea and Keitenn Bristow.
Alabama head coach Nate Oats commented on those players following the game in his press conference, updating the injury status of each entering Saturday’s massive showdown with St. John’s.
“It’d be good to get some of these injured guys back,” Oats said. “We’ll have to see where they come. They’re all day-to-day. Keitenn’s got an ankle injury, Holloway’s got a wrist injury, and Wrightsell’s got a finger injury. Wrightsell’s Achilles is fine. He just hurt his finger in the Furman game, re-hurt it in practice. I think all three of those guys getting back would be big.”
Alabama’s next game will come this upcoming Saturday, Nov. 8 against one of the nation’s top teams, the St. John’s Red Storm. Tipoff is set for noon ET on FS1 from Madison Square Garden in New York.
