New head Hog Ryan Silverfield has his work cut out for him in his first campaign on the Hill. Eight of the Arkansas’ 2026 regular-season opponents spend most, if not all the 2025 season, ranked inside the top 25.
The Razorbacks’ 2026 football schedule was released Thursday. Arkansas already knew who it was playing and where, just not when. As expected, the “Battle for the Golden Boot” with LSU has been moved back to Thanksgiving weekend to close the regular season. The SEC introduces a nine-game league schedule for the first time in ’26, and the Hogs get five of them at home. The home slate features Georgia, Tennessee, Missouri, South Carolina and LSU with road games at Texas A&M, Vanderbilt, Auburn and Texas.
Arkansas’ permanent SEC opponents — the three teams they will play every year under the new scheduling format while other league teams will rotate on and off the schedule every four years — are Texas, LSU and Missouri.
In addition to their usual SEC grind, the Hogs also travel to perennial top 20 Utah on Sept. 12. Other non-conference games, in Fayetteville, are North Alabama to open the season on Sept. 5 and Tulsa. TV coverage and kickoff times have yet to be determined.
