Hickory Crawdads vs. Columbia: Game Recap & Score

The Hickory Crawdads fell on the road to the Columbia Fireflies, 11-2 Tuesday night. Marcos Torres hit a solo home run in the top of the second inning. That home run gave Hickory a 1-0 lead, but Columbia scored three runs in the second and third innings and crossed the plate four times in the fourth inning. The loss drops the Crawdads to 30-25 on the second half of the season. They are still in second place of the South Division of the Carolina League, however, they are 8.5 games out of first place with only 11 games remaining. Hickory will be on the road against Columbia this week. They wrap up the season at home next week.
