Hello Kitty and several of her best-known friends have now taken over Candy Land in an official board game crossover.
As seen on the On games website, several beloved Sanrio mascots now have their very own Candy Landwith the official “Hello Kitty and Friends” edition board game set courtesy of The OP Games. This version of the Hasbro game is currently available through the official The OP Games online storefront, where it retails for $29.99. Fans can get a closer look at the game itself in a series of images shared to X (formerly Twitter) by the official Sanrio social media account.

The new board game collaboration is just the latest of countless similar crossovers between Sanrio’s most famous mascot characters and dozens, if not hundreds, of other fan-favorite brands. Luxury watch brand Seiko has been producing some of the most memorable of these crossovers, with multiple limited-edition watch releases featuring characters such as My Melody, Kuromi and of course, Hello Kitty herself. In mid-June, Seiko unveiled its Seiko x I.Cinnamoroll limited-edition watchwhich is limited to only 2,023 units in total as a nod to the year 2023, marking the release of the I.CINNAMOROLL sub-brand.

Two more of Hello Kitty’s most well-known friends are about to have what might be the biggest year of their respective careers as Sanrio mascots thanks to their upcoming Netflix series, My Melody & Kuromi. The 3D, felt doll-style animated series will pick up with My Melody and Kuromi as they prepare to dazzle the world-famous patissier, Mr. Pistachio, when he arrives in town. Their efforts uncover a strange new world filled with all manner of fantastical creatures and astonishing forces, including those that could very well destroy everything that My Melody and Kuromi have ever known. My Melody & Kuromi is currently slated to debut on Netflix on July 24.
